I don't get the hate for MBDTF on here. At the core of that album, it's samples + boom bap drums. The only song without a boom bap element is probably Lost in the World.

But you neggas didn't like that either. You didn't like Blame Game, you only want samples with vocals? You would hate that if he was still doing it all the time.

I think what people are generally fans of, is good quality music. People come to expect a certain level of quality from artists who've excelled in the past. Not a particular sound, but just dope shyt.

Certain artists set a standard for what you should expect from them. Their fans come to want that same level of consistency every time out. So if an artist drops some shyt that subpar or not on the level of their previous work, people won't be happy. That's understandable.

Its not as simple as just good music vs bad music.
