Health care bill wasn't going anywhere in the senate. Dems don't have the numbers to block any vote in the Senate since Pence can tie break which lets Repubs change the game up for Senators from moderate states like R-Collins from Maine. Manchin is playing both sides of the field when convenient. The fact that this thread even exists suggest that he is suspect.
538 article published a few days ago has Manchin voting with Trump ~48% of the time. Republican Senators on average are voting with Trump 97% or so of the time
Manchin is the blue dot farthest up and to the right in the Trump graph.
