Give MamaYuyu a shot. It's one of my new favorites among the new stuff on WSJ. And feels refreshing to read as in the same way Jigo, JJK and CSM were it gives you something that makes it really stand out. The paneling also is outstanding.
Kagurabachi memes aside is solid, but it feels predictable I guess. Mc is cool as he isn't a naive kid, but it doesn't have that IT factor yet imo.
Also coming back to Nue’s exorcist after hearing it improved and honestly as of late it’s pretty solid. And it’s beloved by Japan. Could be the next black clover maybe?
Martial Master Asumi continues to impress me. Good writing and it fully goes in the proper depth even if you are unfamiliar with the sport.

Starting reading Mato Slave, which features the same author from Akame ga Kill. As given by the title and genre tags its an ecchi harem fantasy it gives you clear warning of the type of series it will be. But it surprisingly gives a solid amount of world building in the first volume. So if you aren't bothered by the fanservice it could be solid series, but again thats the caveat. Chapter 3 which was him getting blackmailed to become a slave of the sadist girl seems to be clear indicator how far it will go with the ecchi and fanservice.
Kyouka offers a strong first impression. Very strong willed and motivated with clear honorable goals, but had the unfortunate luck of the draw of her power. More so the negative consequences that come with it. The fact that the mc does feel guilt from it does show that maybe he could be a decent mc.
Mato basically can be seen as a form of hell that protects the human world. Interesting enough in region of Mato there is a defense corp. So basically there is a defense force squad assigned to each of the 8 regions, which assuming protects an important middle region. Kyouka's main goal is revenge so her motivation is clear. The ending of the volume ends and what seems very likely to be his sister who senses his presence. Would be surprised if that wasn't her.

The last page is interesting. Its clear that sign will have a big importance in this story. It does have my interest when the next chapter comes.

You know I love the character development from Frieren
. Frieren knows she has all the time, but doesn't wanna waste a moment without Fern & Stark. The fact the spell was discovered in the future (more like present timeline technically) means that its viable to make it happen and its up to her to press on and make on with it.
Tho its crazy to think the amount of time it takes to discover the Goddess's magic. But one thing is for certain the road to get back to her timeline won't be easy for Frieren.

Man. Idk how Yayoi-chan gonna do against the Star God. Like the way those 3 factions say you don't wanna get him mad
. Lets see how Yayoi-chan got in her arsenel. With that being I love that her resolved is still the same as before.

So to start we see the 7th Demon Force ends up a woman fighting on the Shuuki that destory Kyouka's hometown. She does mentions stuff like she fights the Demon Force and admits to being a leader. But more then likely her not being their enemy. Perhaps their some order causing them to fight each other. Regardless once she realizes that Yuuki isn't a Shuuki and hesistates she retreats. It gives Yuki hope that is her and feels like even if it is a slight chance he would go for it.
The other resolution from the encounter Hummanoid Shuuki whom can utilize multiple Mato peaches, which gives them a big reason to worry. Well this has the government wanting the different forces to work together. The 6th and 7th squads end up holding a skirmish to asses each others strengths. We see Himari's older sister is on the 6th squad. And she basically ridicules her. So Himari's pride is on the line in this skirmish as well. She reveals her ability which is basically she able to use other abilities. BUt the conversion to her using them isn't always smooth as she can't use Shushu's ability well. That reason why her upbringing was hard. She ends up using Kyouka's ability and like quickly learn the downsides, but comes to accept them since this is what she needs to do.
Both Yuku and Himari bond a bit and show that he can relate to her as being a younger sibling. Meanwhile Himari admits she owes Yuukian apology. Himari mentions how Yachiho ability is to reverse time by 5 seconds and so that is where their prep is for. During the fight Yuuki & Himari are doing well until Yachiho reveals she has evolved and being able to rewind time by 10 seconds now and nearly secures her victory. Well that is until a trip that is about to crash the party and one of the was responsible for the attack on squad 3. It will he really interesting to see the two squads having to work together.

Having read the first volume of the Light novel I like with what they did with adapating the first 3rd of volume 1 of the light novel.
I like the art it really expresses Alina very well and makes reading it as fun as reading the novel was. The stuff with Jade is less impactful since the novel gives a stronger interpretation of how his constant recruiting of Alina aggravates her. It doesn't skip anything so thats always a plus
The issue is that where it leaves off is kind like oh this is fun, but thats it. Doesn't get to the point where you get invested in the cast. Just Alina, which is what the first third of volume 1 of the novel was meant to do. People will prob need to read the first 3 vols of the manga adaptation to get a good feel on the series. Which obviously is an issue with manga adaptations.

So despite how the end of the previous volume ended Himari and Yuuki were able to make a last ditch effort to be Yachiho.. Winning Yachiho's respect was big for Himari and it was nice with the genuine respect she has with Yuuku now as well. Props for Himari stick to her guns and staying with the 7th squad. Honestly the sibling dynamic is actually pretty nice between Himari and Yachiho. Shushu has her match with Sahara and due to Sahara being able to attack unconsciously it leads to her defeat. Shushu having more genuine feelings for Yuuki is cute as in a weird twist of fate he is her motivation.
So both squads 6 and 7 ended up getting attacked by one of the 3 enemy leader's shown at the end named Rairen. Honestly this was a showcase of both Kyouka and Tenka. Interesting having both Himari and Kyouka be engaged with Yuuki makes him even more stronger. Tho the risks that after the fight it severely out strains him. Interesting going forward. But Tenka's telporting abilities is fukking insane
. Rairen is able to escape but just barely. Shikoku seems to be the mastermind behind it all. Curious why Yuuki's sister was moving solo.
The rest of the chapter you kinda got to see a little more of the Azuma sister bond. But a meeting between the two commanders Tenka is intrigued with Yuuki, but as expected Kyouka wouldn't give him as he is way too invaluable of piece. Plus she wants to be supreme commander on her own which I respect. With that being said she is clearly friends with Tenka so she gave her the wink that Yuuki's private life is another matter entirely.

yeah, pretty much my words in the anime thread when I saw it was getting adapted.
I'll admit though, it's amazing how the more you read, the more the fanservice and ecchi things become more of a.... consequence? The overtones there for actual reasons. You sorta stop seeing those parts as fanservice. Even what was at first "skimpy outfits" turned into really good art design. Cool art, cool powers, cool cast, cool fights, "shyt gets real and stays real" story.
It's honestly a solid series. Prolly gonna be popular, but polarizing.
Caught up with my backlog for the most part this weekend, at least 7 different series and I'm shocked to say that Two Blue Vortex was actually one of the better ones from everything I read.

It always comes in how the author puts it in. 3 volumes in yes there is plenty of ecchi fan service. But at the same time these stuff don't take away the central part of the story.
Compare to lets say Mieurko-chan anime where the fan service in the first 3 episodes took you out of the horror themes of those episodes.
Honestly I am expecting the anime to be censored and will be uncensored when BD's for the series come out. How they censor the anime will be the main thing since like how Akyashi Triangle did their censorship made it more distracting then if it they didn't censor at all ironically.

We got our main villain. So we have the general idea of heroes vs demon lords battling it out. Regardless of who kills who their sigils get stronger and Grishia aims to steal them. But what is his goal besides being stronger?
These last 2 chapters how been great. Really excited going forward.
Blue Box Ch. 124
But once again Haryuu shows why hes the best character in this series. He basically telling Natsu, sure you could keep it being a couple a secret. He's gonna have girls around as his play evolves. But him being in a long term relationsip hw knows these things. Well obviously he says he wants to beat Taki at his best, but also he cares for both Taki and Natsu.
This is the kind of stuff that I love about this series. This was such a relatable conversation more good stuff.
Two on Ice Ch. 7
I really like these 2. It's been stated that how Kisara is Hayuma's motivation. But Hayuma has a lit a fire back into Kisara because it seemed like before even if she were to perform well she would look it from the glass half empty. Makes their dynamic great.

We got some athletes when they are pushed to their limits they have this edge about them. It could be instinct or something else, but its clear that Nito style here is an intensity that feels like purely on instinct. The scary part is how far will he go. More good stuff here.
