Damn, was thinking of moving from bay area (absolutely dry) to NY for this very reason.

Try North Jersey seriously. An coworkers kid is in radio. He and his girl moved into a brand new building and moved in for 1800 from what I was told. A train ride or ferry ride you will be in the city easy.

I spent some of the best years of my life in NYC (went to NYU for school and lived there overall about 9 years)

But I have no desire to ever live there again now that I am a father and have adult responsibility.

I’ll just visit all my closet friends once, or maybe twice a year.
