While I disagree with the general "All Cops should be killed" sentiment in this thread, there have been officers who were also members of racist organizations. And police were used as race soldiers to keep Blacks in line. However, I think community policing, and having more officers from certain communities, who share the same economic history and shared past as the people in the community they serve, makes a huge difference. Because they'll know most folks in the community already, and have had an established relationship with folks from the community, I think that'll keep unnecessary killings of unarmed and or mentally ill civilians down, because the officer may actually know the suspect and get him/her the appropriate help. And planting drugs and other devious things may drop, if the officers actually have a committed goal towards improving the lives towards the civilians they're policing. It'll change the tide of how kids will view them(as the enemy) vs how kids view the drug-dealers/gang-members(as the neighborhood heroes). Some of the biggest gang-members sometimes show more compassion and concern towards civilians then some police do. Odd as that may sound. RIP to that officer(unless he was doing something devious).. stupid fukk do you read before you hit post? you just compared every police officer to a radical group of people. imma let you cook tho bro. someone kill your fam member and we all know who you calling fukk nikka.

Nah he is a hero. He is an outlier tho. Many former cops who speak out get their lives threaten because law enforcement has a gang mentality and take out snitches. So with that alot of cops dont speak out because of fear or they are part of the problem. The police do not have black people's interest at heart.
