Rios just got to 140 and is now moving up to 147. Face-first fighter who got outboxed by a C class fighter in Alvarado. This is basically a come-back, make-you-look-good bout for Pacquiao. Should be a massacre.

I still don't see how Rios will beat Manny. Are you guys seeing something that I'm not? Rios will be a punching bag for Manny. Are we forgetting how great Manny is ? Especially vs. plodding methodical fighters? Unless Marquez turned Manny into "Can't get right", then I can't see it.

This is exactly my point. The X Factor is whether Manny is mentally and or physically prepared to fight, period. That being said, Manny should slaughter Rios based on styles alone. Rios in his last 3 fights looked like shyt against Abril (in which I thought he clearly lost), is in a dog fight with Alvarado and wins by KO, and loses the rematch by being outboxed. Yet, there's people here turning Rios into Margarito 2.0

No he won't. He barely hit 160lbs fight night against Alvarado. Manny's gonna be like 148. The most it'll be is 10lb difference. It ain't like Rios is Margarito's size. He'll only hurt himself coming in bigger let alone this is his first fight at Welterweight.

Trust me dude, if he's coming in at Welterweight now and you expect him to be 170 fight night, you really think he ain't coming in the ring like
. It ain't like Manny has problems with pressure fighters, he eats these guys up. If Rios comes in that heavy he's gonna be slugish as shyt and Manny is going to unload on him. The Margarito fight was 150lb catchweight and Marg still came in maybe 2-3lbs above what he did as a Welter (164-165). But Rios at 5'8 gonna come in 170lbs and be Manny's worst nightmare?

Rios isn't a fast puncher to begin with, and at Welterweight I don't expect his speed to be a factor at all against Manny. I'd also argue that even beyond the plaster, Margarito is a bigger, stronger puncher at Welterweight than Rios (who hasn't proven that yet). I'd be shocked if Rios actually makes this a fight because based on his previous fights, it's Manny's fight to lose (which is why I think people are picking against Manny as opposed to seeing the type of fighter Rios is and how he's looked as of recent).
First Rios is just a better fighter than Margarito, doesn't mean he will win, he just is.
When I say faster I'm talking about the way he moves in the ring, Margarito is a fukking frankenstein like fighter
He never had punching power why you think he put plaster in his gloves against Cotto, if he was a powerful puncher he wouldn't need it
Cotto gets hurt in nearly all his fights against real comp so why would Margarito need to cheat unless he didn't have power. Mayweather almost KO'd and
would have if went in for the kill when he wobbled him late.
Margarito was a pressure fighter because him and Paul Williams should've been middleweights anyway, picking on smaller guys.
He was only able to stalk fighters because of his size.
Rios puts together punches a lot beat than Margarito, who hurt Manny, Rios will touch Manny a lot in this fight, he will get touched too

Brandon doesn't cut the ring off though like Margarito did which was a big piece of his strategy in fights. Rios follows you. Look at the 2nd Alvarado fight. Alvarado was barely turning Rios and he couldn't land effectively on Alvarado who's footwork / speed wise comes nothing close to Manny. I think a lot of us forget about Margarito pre Shane Mosley. The thing that made him dangerous was he kept coming. When frustrated, Rios is almost a sitting duck. He may talk the game of "I don't give a fukk I come to fight" which he does, but when presented with a situation where he needs to adjust, he just can't. If he thinks throwing punches and not having any regard for defense will beat Manny, he's in for the worst beating of his life.
Only reason Margarito could cut off the ring was because he was stalking smaller guys who couldn't keep him off them
even Cotto couldn't hurt him in both fights, the second fight looked like the first one except Cotto didn't get busted up and Margarito had a fukked up eye. Even in the first fight Cotto did good job sticking and movie until he gassed.
Shane fukked him up because he had the power to hurt him and Margarito is a sitting duck. Pac was able to hurt him because he was obviously on that juice
Alvarado was causing trouble for Rios, but to say he couldn't land effectively is false, he busted him up he gave him more punishment even though he did lose
the match. Rios is a sitting duck, but he can seriously hurt Manny. It will be a war. if Manny runs through him he's obviously back on the juice
