China is not living in 2100, they are living back in later 1800s to mid 1900s US.
Back in the day, families and children in the US were living like that. Spending wages at company stores, staying in company living quarters paying rent to the company, and paying the company for other amenities. So in the end, most of their money they made was going right back to the company, and even then they still ended up owing the company money beacause their wages never covered their cost of living.
So China allows their citizens to be treated by companies now, how many American citizens were treated by companies before WW2.

Better product = More sales = More profit.
Corporations were built by the American people. Only when the process was simplified they moved overseas.

Yeah it’s tongue in cheek. American workers are near the top in efficiency by every metric.
But do companies care more about long term efficiency or short term gains from exploiting poverty especially on a quarterly basis that most companies exist on.

This is propaganda. You could literally find stories of Amazon drivers peeing in bottles and making minimum wage only to get fired for something silly, like actually being sick and get the same effect.
Nah. The average worker in most fields is under educated, under qualified with even lower standards vs other countries with the same fields, demands more, works less.
And yeah things could change for the better for the American worker to where American workers wouldnt demand such much time off of work whether it's vacation, sick, maternal/paternal leave, FMLA, etc. The issue is Americans are greedy and they always want more. Even part time workers feel over worked.

I live in Japan and the amount of waste in Japanese office culture is astounding. The stereotype is we need to have a meeting to set up a meeting so we can discuss what we are going to talk about it the next meeting.

Outside of slavery, I mean prison....you and I both know that's illegal. But it didn't used to be, in America.
People used to literally burn to death in factories and buildings because they couldn't leave.
Now businesses are more likely to fire your ass just so they aren't accountable.
There's waste pretty much everywhere.
I worked at a job as a young, young manager where they would do that shyt all the time. Schedule a meeting just so motherfukkers could kick back and have a moment to chill, or "pow wow" it was for "team building" and "effective communication" they can call it what they want, it was fukking bullshyt and I told them if we aren't having a real meeting about something don't invite me to this bullshyt, I'm not here to make friends, im here to work.
They tried to write me up, but when we had a 'real' meeting about I gave them the facts and there wasn't anything refutable about them.
We literally met once or twice a day, every fukking day, and maybe 1 meeting was actually about something. I hated that shyt but if course they were all cacs and I'm not so they didn't mind chit chatting and shyt.
