if the uber-automation worked in everyone's favor then we wouldn't have to work all that much

get food and clothing production locked down and distributed to everyone
That's what we should be doing. Automation could be good news.. Capitalism will be obsolete in 100 years or so

I strongly disagree. First off automation is expensive as shyt. Like tens of millions expensive. This isn't even getting into AI.

Secondly there are a lot of jobs where it isn't economically beneficial to automate when you can hire a few guys for 10 bucks an hour.

Not every business has 100+ millions sitting around to build automated AI systems. Small businesses can't afford that aND a lot of times their assets aren't money but real estate and equipment. That's not something you can withdraw from a bank.

Corporations and governments are pouring billions into automation research.

1-6 of what I mentioned could very well happen within 15-20 years

It's only a matter of time before it becomes cheaper to automate EVERYTHING

Human labor is on the verge of being obsolete. Even thinking will be done much better by computers soon

unrestricted automation is gonna cause revolts one day

the advent of computer simulation software is even hurting engineers like myself

people need to work, because the population isnt going down anytime soon

Elaborate :lupe:

but what services is the question? :jbhmm:

Right, fast food establishment automating themselves. Big box retailers like Lowes trying out robot aisle workers, that have touchscreens on their "belly' or you can ask them questions. Just wait, till somebody creates a robot bartender or :lawd: robot bouncer. :robomjpls:

the amount of calculations and drafts done by engineers has been reduced by 95% due to simulation programs alone. there was a time we had to do everything by hand
