Elbing, Kan. and Wichita, Kan. are just a few miles from one another. At least when it comes to Kansas, however, their political affiliations could not be more different. The former ranks as the most conservative town in the state, while the latter is the most liberal, according to data from political analytics company Clarity Campaign Labs.

Business Insider created the map above with the most liberal and conservative towns in each state using data from Clarity Campaign Labs. Many of the blue cities are major urban areas: New York City, Philadelphia, Miami, Memphis, Omaha, and Seattle. Some are college towns, like Berkeley, Madison, Wis., Ann Arbor, Mich., and Hanover, N.H.

In case you want to be forever surrounded by like-minded people, Clarity Campaign Labs has also created an online tool that lets you find the town or city in your state that most closely matches your politics. You can see that here.

Clarity Campaign Labs used its national models and the Co-Op voter file from SmartVAN to make the tool. It analyzes users' political views based on seven identifiers and asks them whether they apply:

I identify with the Democrats more so than the Republicans.

Abortion should be legal and accessible to all women.

I attend religious services regularly.

Climate change is an immediate concern that must be addressed.

There should be more restrictions on purchasing and carrying guns.

The government should reduce the deficit primarily by raising taxes rather than cutting services.

I prefer urban areas.

Every single most conservative city in every state is a small town and most of the most liberal cities are metro areas. No surprise there.

Greensboro on the map :win:. Since I live here idk if I can say it's more or less liberal (than say Charlotte or Raleigh) honestly.

Interesting, I've lived in 3 cities on the map (Seattle,WA/Atlanta, GA/Takoma Park, MD)...Out of the 3, I'd say Atlanta was the least liberal with Seattle being the most
