I believe Marathon will lead in the casual market for the genre and raise the ceiling but I still believe the ceiling won’t be as high as battle royale games.

Extraction shooters are asking a rough ask for players in the initial/upfront phase. With players losing all their loot upon being taken out. I don’t see the mass market getting over that aspect.

In the end, extraction shooters will always play the background role to Battle Royale shooters, they will be for the players looking for a more hardcore experience than BRs.

I agree with this, it’s going to appeal to a niche demographic but the question is what are they expectations and what type of numbers gamers wise are they looking for to continuously commit to the game, like I hope they don’t give up on the game just because it doesn’t do fortnight/call of duty numbers

I’m quite sure they have a projection in the plan, being that the game is available across all platforms, unlike Escape from Tarkov.
