Sadly in journalism, sometimes that's all you can do to protect your sources. But the world of sports journalism is a lot murkier and more click-bait driven so I wouldn't doubt if Broussard is just parroting what some insider told him.

I don't think he's making shyt up, but I do believe he's blindly reporting what his sources tell him without checking said sources elsewhere.

When you get info from a source you check on it, you don't just say "so-and-so said this, so it's true."
