:what: This is a joke, right? Ibaka is still getting no love. Easily the best shot blocker in the league and a great help defender.

How is Marc Gasol defensive player of the year? I'm going to need to see some more than 7.8 rebounds or 1.7 shot blocks per game when he is 7'1". And miss me with he plays good position defense. Chuck Hayes didn't get consideration with his great positioning defense when he played.

Garnett is still the best defensive player in the league. He just can't play as much minutes anymore

:shaq2: Enough to know that Roy Hibbert or Ibaka would have been a better choice.

It's pretty much a race between gasol and noah.

Ibaka? Naw. Not at all. Hibbert's certainly up there, but even George has a better case than he does. Gasol and Noah really have been neck and neck for the majority of the season (I had 1a Noah and 1b for Gasol). Injuries got the best of Noah and it was almost a foregone conclusion Gasol was gonna win it. There's no denying that he deserves it. Dude's defense has been amazing this season. He wastes no movement/energy on the defensive end. He plays like he's a seasoned vet. Without the Larry Holmes.

Am I lying? Marc Gasol on Dirk would have neutralized him in 2011 and we beat Dallas. Of course we beat OKC because they're not ready and then we beat Miami because Lebron was a bytch that year. :whew:

In 2012, we realize how great Marc is so we flip Bynum for a PF like Josh Smith then we have the best defensive front court in the league and beat OKC and go on to beat Miami in the Finals due to having the paint on lock. :smugfavre:
LOL Marc gasol, only has gotten off on us once, the guy is passive as fukk when it \comes to scoring.

:rudy: Why couldn't our Gasol be a DPOY type of player.

If Marc Gasol had Kobe acting like a matador on the perimeter, he wouldn't be winning any DPOY awards either. Having guys like Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince on the perimeter makes it a lot easier for big men to do their jobs inside.
