Sounds like y’all support or haven’t read (most likely) the LGBTQ centered mission statement on the BLM organization website.

I support the BLM movement but not the organization. There are two very distinct differences.

I'm not sure I agree with him 100% but I "get" what he's saying.

Once you open the door for political statements, you have to be willing to accept people making statements you don't agree with.

HOWEVER.....I'm not sure that's an issue in the NBA. Who is going to come through with right-wing/fascist taking points? Most white NBA players are gonna lean our way because they spend so much time around black players and leaders. Hoops kinda self selects....tall, rednecks would rather be baseball pitchers or quarterbacks over shooting guards. I agree with the first part of his statement. That's why when I personally say or tweet something with BLM, I follow it up saying I support that statement not the organization. Black lives matters the organization supports way to much LGBTQ rhetoric that I do not cosign in the slightest. The organization was created by queer folk and they make sure to state their affiliations in their mission statement and a lot of what they stand for, I wholeheartedly disagree with. Marcellus lost me when he started on the white supremacy stuff tho

The BLM movement and what the words stand for is 100% RIGHT but the organization is doing and pushing some shady things. The two are separate and more people need to know this.

his point about the mission statement saying to get rid of the patriarchal structures or whatever is something I agree with him about. That mission statement is wrong and needs to be removed. Kids need a mother and father to be well rounded individuals.

Aside from that though Black Lives Matter is solid and is definitely necessary to help deal with systemic racism. I don't even think BLM is identity politics BLM is necessary.
