no you didnt

I was actually into college basketball this season (for the first time in almost a decade). Primarily it was because Kobe was injured and the Lakers sucked. I watched almost every game Kansas and Duke played. Its the reason I'm so high on Embiid, Wiggins, and Parker (to a lesser extent). Watched several OK State and Kentucky games as well, which is why I'm down on Smart and Randle. I was never wowed watching them. And never thought what they did would translate to the pros.

Just so you know I think less of Randle than Smart. I think Smart can be productive. I just wouldn't take him ahead of guys like Vonleh and Gordon. Randle is radioactive IMO. He's gonna be Thomas Robinson status in the pros unless he develops a mid-range jumpshot. He won't be able to bully PFs in the NBA the way he did those undersized dudes in college.

I'm talking in terms of Smart bro...

This is basically what I'm seeing..if prospect A doesn't look like NBA Superstar B at the same position, then prospect A is a future bust.

disagree. Exum has the critical skill of being able to beat his man one on one to get into the paint at will. that will translate at the next level. I don't know how much you watched Smart but he's not really a slasher. he's more of a power guard. most of his penetration into the paint came off pick n rolls and post-ups. he's not in the Russell Westbrook/D-Rose class of being able to beat dudes off the dribble into the paint. Exum has that ability. Thats why I think his bust potential is very low. If you can get into the paint in the NBA, you'll have a productive NBA career.

Where do you have all this Exum footage I keep missing out. I see some clips from all-star games. Ive seen smart do it against NBA type competition (not stars but potential role players).

Great defender. He's a mismatch against most PGs through size/strength alone. Poor shooting form and limited range. Needs to improve his decision-making but splits the screen and dishes the ball well in traffic.Gets to the rim with regularity. Could improve his handle. Only an OK passer and finisher.

I still like him because he's a big, strong PG whose shooting can get better from mid range. I think he can play a Westbrook type of game.

you don't need many clips to see explosiveness. Exum has it. check out the crossover moves at 1:16 and 2:26 in this video.

Those were Kobe/Iverson caliber crossover moves to the basket. He ain't an explosive leaper which is why the move 1:16 isn't getting replayed every day, but he can get into the paint. thats one thing you don't need alot of footage to notice.

Celtics gonna draft him to piss us off and we're gonna end up with Vonleh.

Man. It's And 1 hoopers who can do that. Show me him doing that against someone going hard on D. I'd need a bigger sample size. I am also not hearing much from his front during this time. Either he has a promise (Lakers) or he is going to let his potential take him where it can. Which is still a high lotto. Probally 4th to Orlando. But if Smart shows out he could take his slot.

Wouldn't shock me if the Lakers took the big kid from Bosnia @ 7, Buss has a thing for centers.

I just looked at the mock draft and he's listed at the 33rd pick. Do you know something that we don't know breh?

Nah, this kid is a lottery pick -

He's projected 11 to the Nuggets right now, he's compared to Cousins and Pekovic.

*stops video at 1:24*

that was the goofiest play I've seen in a while

If we draft him, I'm taking my talents to the Raptors fan base full time

You talking about Saric or Nukric? Either way I don't think the Lake show will pick either unless they traded down.

Unless they turn up in workouts which I can see Saric doing. He's versatile.
