Not only that they gained a lot of fanfare for stopping production to redesign the character after complaints

Movie was ok. Action scenes were stylish but stupid (especially the police department scene) the way dudes would wait for ttheir turn to fight Harley and shyt. It’s 2020, those type of fight scenes aren’t gonna fly with me any more. That lil Asian chick was awful and huntress was just meh. Rosie Perez was cool and she still got them tig ol bitties 
..I liked black canary but her waiting all damn day to do her shyt was 
to me. Almost like they didn’t have the budget for it. How Harley just walked through it while dudes getting blown away as well was another 
moment. Making black mask and zazz some homos was kinda trash too. Sucked all the fear out of them with that. Ewan too busy smiling and frolicking to make me think he’s a true baddie.This movie also had one of my pet peeves in it. where they go backwards to go forwards. I hate that shyt because it’s just a time killer and nothing more. I’d give this a 6.5 or 7/10. Maybe if it came out before deadpool I would give it a higher rating but since it didn’t and wasn’t nearly as good I can’t. Also to be a rated r flick this shyt was tame. Makes me wonder why they even made it rated r.

Yeah I don't get where people are coming from with that logic. I would add Black Canary to your list. Pretty much everyone in this movie, male and female, were pieces of shyt."All the men are bad in this movie"
And the women are good? All of them outside of maybe Montoya had questionable morals. Also can't forget Ali Wong.
Definitely a poor man's, or better yet, a poor woman's Deadpool, but I still liked it. Good action, good performances (outside of the Asian kid, she was bad) and some laughs. I agree that the flashback structure did not work, though.
