Could you forsee marijuana being legalized under a Trump administration? :ld:

Fair question.... but ask this same question with regards to the other candidate. Im looking forward to the debates, hopefully these jokers asking the questions don't spend 2 hours asking bullshiit personal or overstated social questions (abortion, gay marriage :snoop:), but real questions.

Marijuana to remain illegal under federal law, DEA says

Marijuana advocates who hoped the cascade of states moving to legalize medical marijuana would soften the federal stance on the drug faced disappointment Thursday as the Drug Enforcement Administration

announced that it will keep marijuana illegal for any purpose.

Marijuana will remain a Schedule 1 substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Substances in Schedule 1 are determined by the Food and Drug Administration to have no medical use. States that allow marijuana for medical use or legalize recreational use remain in defiance of federal law.

The announcement to be published Friday in the Federal Register relaxes the rules for marijuana research to make it easier for institutions to grow marijuana for scientific study. The DEA currently authorizes just one grow facility in Mississippi.

In reaching its conclusion, the DEA says that a Health and Human Services evaluation shows that marijuana has no ‘‘currently accepted medical use’’ because "the drug’s chemistry is not known and reproducible; there are no adequate safety studies; there are no adequate and well-controlled studies proving efficacy; the drug is not accepted by qualified experts; and the scientific evidence is not widely available."

"At this time," the DEA concludes, "the known risks of marijuana use have not been shown to be outweighed by specific benefits in well-controlled clinical trials that scientifically evaluate safety and efficacy."

"Obama will make Marijuana legal and end the war and drugs in his final year of office"--- Average coli democrat

:Lyesss:
The "War On Drugs" has been a total failure :snoop: Cannabis is an HERB NOT A DRUG. They gotta keep mass incarceration at a high for profiting purposes. Oligarchs gotta remain in control somehow :pacspit:

So IYO what would it take for it to be accomplished?

America failing like the roman empire and starting over..Im being serious breh, America is what it is today impart because of black and brown people being relegated to the bottom rung of society..Its why crack has a higher sentencing guideline than cocaine..Criminalizing marijuana and other drugs that are perceived as being a drug that lower class people use (obviously that isnt true but perception is reality) keeps the engine of America going..Like I said before, too many industries tied to mass incarceration..Mass incarceration accelerated when marijuana became criminalized and the prison industry started to boom

but assuming trump becomes president, don't we have a better shot? being that he isn't beholden to these industries like the current establishment is?

wouldn't the legalization and taxing marijuana be a huge economy boost?

Not being beholden is one thing..But Trump doesnt have any connections in the DC beltway to ensure that an executive order or directive to the DEA to decriminalize marijuana wouldnt get blocked by Congress...Remember establishment Republicans in the House and Senate do not fukk with this guy period and Democrats in Congress are pussies and are controlled by these industries..I think he can be a strong advocate for it being decriminalized but actual policy to get it done? Naw..those industries would amp up the lobbying to Senators and Representatives to ensure Trump doesnt touch their cash cow

...and there's the issue.

Big pharma/big tobacco companies are in a race to make an over the counter equivalent to weed.

:francis:

Not to mention that as long as weed stays illegal, it can be used by the political parties to draw out votes....

:francis:

The future is looking like decriminalization to appease minorities and the ticket profits will help police stations remain open.

The DEA will remain active in going after underground pot growers. The mom and pop weed shops will be eclipsed by over the counter equivalents and a bunch of weed start ups in colorado will be bought out by bigger corporations selling edibles.

And when did you come to this bolded realization?

Because you are right.. the usa can't be reformed/changed. So it must be destroyed...

Hopefully as AA's continue to wake up in this... our final awakening. They will come to this conclusion.

Weed will NEVER be legalized in the USA, too many people/organizations have too much to gain from it being illegal. Along with so so much more :wow:

Its all about keeping the other man down. They rather live below minimum wage in order for you to have nothing. It's a disease like Einstein said.

Fa sho just repped you back..I honestly came to this conclusion when I started to critically take a look at Reagan, Clinton, Bush's and Obama's Presidency..Aside from a few wedge issues and identity politics, it aint much difference between these people because the system was designed to work this way...Major changes happen in America when either extreme violence (civil war) or money (stock market crash) is involved..otherwise the gravy train for the globalist elites keep rolling no matter which suit is in the office..its one of the reasons i am really afraid of a clinton presidency..not for what she will or wont do, but because the masses, especially black folk in this country will remain asleep and wont hold the system accountable for what is going on here
