No matter how much he flips the roster, he's still going to be terrible at player development and terrible at in-game coaching.

Until Cristobal become a recruit-only coach and passes ALL his other responsibilities to better minds, y'all are going to underperform.

We been telling y'all this for years. :wow:

He's a recruiter. That's ALL he is.

Don't "y'all" me, i'ma Gator fan lmao

He can def bring in the people and in a less parity ACC, he should do really well for some years.. he just a guaranteed 2-3 loss coach at his best with major talent.

Im not gonna pile on Mario, things worked out for the best with us. If Miami fans can just live with his " a win is a win" mentalilty during his tenure there, then so be it. You may a have few games you gonna look like world beaters and then have days like we had with Utah twice last year. That, how we go in and beat Ohio St but get our heads blown by a lesser proven pedigree.

But, he will bring in some pieces. 2023 he gotta turn it around majorly with that schedule they have. 2023 looks really easy.

2024 schedule with at Florida on the slate, Notre Dame, who gonna be stacked too... Clemson , FSU who trending up.. he may be looking at another year like this one..

You said something that is true that i've noticed about him as a HC.......he does seem to make games WAY more stressful and close than they should be more often than not when he's up against P5 teams.

He’s obviously going to bring in a lot of talent but he’s proven to be a horrible in game coach

I'll say it again, the fact that high school students fall for the okey-doke of these "great recruiter" coaches is proof the adolescent mind ain't fully developed.

"I'm a great recruiter, so you know there's gonna be competition at your position. So play for me and you'll get less playing time because the team is stacked. But we'll also underperform, your stats will look like shyt, and you're not going to win anything.

ARE YOU WITH ME!?!!?!"

I had to look this up because it's unbelievable.

The Hurricanes were held to 98 total yards, which is the third-lowest in school history. The only two games where Miami had less yards was in 1951 against Kentucky (22 yards) and in 1965 against Notre Dame (87).

The fewest total yards since 1965.
Nineteen Sixty Five!

Do you know how long ago that is?
That's like the 1st season of Gilligan's Island or some shyt.

And I'm not supposed to overreact to this?

:why:

So the Hurricanes currently sit at 4-0 to begin the 2023 season.

To be clear, you don't want to pat these guys on the back too much. They've played Miami (OH), Texas A&M, Bethune, and Temple.
Not exactly powerhouse programs.

But in recent years, Miami had often played down to, or outright lost to teams they should have dominated. So with that in mind, it's a good sign to see them make easy work of such opponents this year.

Things will get interesting in the next month, with their next 3 games coming

at home vs Georgia Tech
on the road at North Carolina
at home vs Clemson

Facts. This is the biggest sign of improvement to me. Dominating the teams you should dominate. Them boys look GOODT!

Hoping for that unbeaten FSU vs Miami showdown and rematch in the title game like it should have been damn near 20 years ago :blessed:
