Practice. I got to the point I can slide through entire levels. You gotta experiment with different cars too. They all have their own little quirks.

Honestly I think that I enjoy that Sonic Team Racing game more as a racing experience than this. The nonstop items hitting you nonstop in the higher ccs and that corny blue shell ruins it.
