Mario Kart 8 was so good I'm not even sure what they can add in this new one.

GTA and Smash Bros. has the same problem. The last Smash game had so much shyt.......what could they possibly do in the next game? Ditto for GTA 6.

All they can do is make small changes and package it as a new product. Gamers will be none the wiser.

Mario Kart is the undisputed best GOAT racing franchise my dude. It's got so much depth, competitive MK is a blast.

The Nintendo hate in the Arcadium is wild. It's worse than the Sony/MS glazing.

Turning the classic Grand Prix formula into an integrated open world on top of doubling the amount of drivers on the course, wall jumps, rewind, battle mode, and new items at 4K+60FPS is considered "a few key adjustments" on here.

So many of the games we love on here were actually built on "the guts" of the previous entry and they never got any flak for it. TLOU2, God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon, FFVII Rebirth, Spider-Man 2, Halo Infinite, Tears of the Kingdom, Kingdom Hearts III, Astro Bot...you hate those games dude? What about the dudes on here that buy Madden and 2K's glorified roster updates for $70 every year?

If you don't think the game will be worth $80, okay, got it. That's a debate worth having, even if we put aside the fact that there's a launch bundle that drops the price of the game to $50..but let's not lie and act like this is a Mario Kart 8 reskin. Come on.

So I kinda dig Mario Kart, and this new game will be fun because Nintendo knows what they are doing with this title.
But, is the Switch 2 plus this game worth the price of admission? Is this game so damn good that you'll be happy you spent $$$?

To get it all, plus taxes. You spending likely around the $600 Mark if you want to do everything... DOLO
And will Nintendo be cool with that price, and if you have say a family of 4 then you gotta spend $700+

For a system that is not as powerful as the current gen systems
Nintendo will only do a price drop if you don't buy it. I doubt Mario Kart will be good enough to justify the price point
Hopefully there's pushback on the price. Either way, I'll likely get one of those pocket systems that is switch 2 compatible
