The time she called the police on him for domestic abuse, they got married 6 months later.......

And when the incident happened, there were no signs of struggle or that he was beating on her....

I've been caught up in the system a few times....You gon have to give me something a lil more concrete than internet chatter put out there to evoke an emotion.....

As I said, her sentence was malicious, but she still should have been charged with something, if you look at the facts of the case

breh he went to jail for attacking her

but a lot of the details of this case a were embellished though

the original story said she left the house, came back, and shot at her husband while the kids where with him.

but I'm glad she's free, their reasoning for locking her up was bullshyt

To be fair, she was obviously oversentenced, but she wasn't totally innocent here.

Yes her dude was abusive. She went in her car and got a gun and shot at him with her kids present and the door wasn't blocked so she had an opportunity to leave. She acted reckless because her kids could've been hit by the ricochet.

That being said the sentence was ridiculous and the problem here is this crazy ass 25 year mandatory minimums they have in Florida and other states. The judge himself even said the sentence was too harsh. The law says that if you fire a gun during the commission of a felony it's an automatic 25 years. It's dumb because it eliminates common sense judicial discretion. She wouldn't take a plea because she tried to fight with SYG as a defense. She lost and got football numbers when maybe a month or two in jail and some probation would've been more reasonable considering the situation and the history of abuse. So she tried to win with one dumb law (SYG) and lost and was therefore forced to suffer under another dumb law (mandatory minimum).

Anyway I'm glad she's out. The laws are fukked up

don't remember the particulars of her case but i vaguely remember the story. from memory, i remember they did her dirty and i'm glad she's free. if the ex was a threat to her life, she should defend herself the best she can.

There have been so many laws that have changed because of her case.

However, this was injustice. The 'State' prosecutor woman.......... She was overzealous with the entire case.

and they still want to screw her.
