well this isn't the beginning or end of that

â Nerd Junkiesâ - E32013 - Sony PS4 Overheating? - YouTube I give him all the credit in the world is ps4 works... Its super small and packs a big punch.
When the guy said, it's overheating because the PS4 is so small because they rushed and made it so small because of the XB1, mind you they are talking about E3. All The Games at E3 were running on "DEV KITS". The PS4's you are seeing at events in glass or on a site is just a shell.
The cloud has always been a marketing term, and it's being used by a bunch of companies. "A bunch of connected servers that can be used remotely" just doesn't roll off the tongue very well. But that doesn't take away from the very real advantages the cloud enables.
The significance of the "cloud" as it pertains to the Xbox one, is that it uses one of the most advanced/robust cloud systems on earth. And it is supported/maintained by M$ so it's not such a huge investment for devs to use the cloud. Also the console/dev tools were made with cloud computing in mind so a lot of the work is already done for the devs, they don't have to spend a bunch of time on R&D, worrying about how the console will work with the cloud, how many severe to rent, etc. All they have to worry about is coming up with some cool, new, innovative ways to use the tech.

I never said there were no advantages, just make sure you realize that no "cloud" is ever going to give you the 1:1 performance you get from static hardware right in front of you when it comes to games. This isn't hard to comprehend
Even IF you understand that xbox gamer jimmy down the street might not understand and will start wondering why things are not acting like how they used to in the past. In his mind he thinks the cloud is this magical computing platform that gives better performance than what dedicated servers offer and that is CLEARLY not the case.
Other examples really don't translate well when it comes to cloud computing and put up against gaming. Netflix uses "The Cloud" method and I agree that's probably the best route for them to take. What does netflix not need though? Right, constant input data that gamers are used to having respond to them immediately. What relies on input data? Oh that's right enemy A.I. and any other nonsense those people are trying to force down people's neck. Have you tried OnLive? If you haven't then there is nothing else to talk about here.

The cloud improving graphics. Is a concept that was created by Sony stans just so they could have something to argue against.
I have not heard one developer say the cloud will improve graphics. What they have said is that it allows them to make A.I./worlds larger and more dynamic. And that it can free up some local system resources.
As Internet connections and speeds get better the technology will evolve and get better.

I typed it all out because I know more than 99% of the trash you guys read and take as gospel. Trust me on this, many people are in for a rude awakening this gen if the cloud is expected to do more heavy lifting as things move along. Not sure why you typed all this out. You are creating a strawman and tearing him down. I have not seen anyone saying the stuff your arguing against.
There have been plenty of write ups on the cloud as it pertains to the Xbox one and NONE of them are making the claims your arguing against. Funny thing is I didn't see you in any of the gaikai or remote play threads telling people that shyt won't work. Sony fans are the ones thinking their gonna be streaming games from their ps4 all over the world![]()
Just a question and its possibly I don't understand and hoping for a little clarification.
How will the cloud make "worlds larger"? wouldn't that entail graphics ? or am I reading it wrong.
wrd... you can confirm that? If that's the case may not even be able to fit it in there.
The reason graphics can't be streamed is because they are waiting for your moment to moment inputs. But if you think of an open world game, only the stuff in your immediate vicinity needs to react to your inputs. The cloud can be computing/running the other side of the world so the console can concentrate with just what's on the screen. Also the world can be ever changing because the devs have an easy way to just add/change the environment at will.
I saw an interview with the sunset overdrive devs and they were talking about how they will be able to add pop culture/memes/current event references into the game as they are happening.
Dedicated servers were basically renamed to "cloud" because its new and something to try to sell the uninformed. We have been downloading mp3 files, videos, and files from "clouds" since the internet was launched and we have been streaming media since dial-up...
@ people still getting hyped about cloud computing. I am not even sure Gaikai will be much better than OnLive...we will see how it works.
Here's What a Developer's PS4 Looks Like

The cat may already be out of the bag, but for many months we didn't know what the PS4 looked like. Now, we know what the retail version will look, but what about the developer box Sony hid during the big reveal and on Jimmy Fallon? Well, here's an exclusive image we've acquired of some developer boxes that were used at E3.
Here's an uncropped version:

This is all a lie and a marketing scheme... You can not stream graphics via the cloud. However you can stream full ps3 games. That is the truth and you will be able to play ps4 games through your vita online with noooooooooo lag because of the cloud. and I'm not lying.
Ive already broken this down with you. Streaming graphics and streaming video are two entirely different things. The cloud improving graphics. Is a concept that was created by Sony stans just so they could have something to argue against.

The bolded is false. Ive seen Xbots on this board make that stretch plenty of times.
