Ive seen you get quite technical. Please put the same sort of effort into your jokes, because this one is pathetic. :yeshrug:

:sadcam:

I wasn't trying to be funny. I was just trying to quantify the difference between the two without confusing my fellow posters. I mean just look at this

I personally talked to both Microsoft and Sony and explained that we need to find a way to have potentially hundreds-of-thousands of dedicated servers at a price point that you can’t get right now. Microsoft realized that player-hosted servers are actually holding back online gaming and that this is something that they could help solve, and ran full-speed with this idea. - See more at: http://videogamesandnews.com/xbox-one-cloud-a-pr-gimmick-or-the-real-deal/#sthash.U75FbA1c.dpuf

If you keep dropping all this knowledge, they will eventually only be able to reply with nonsense. Oh wait....

this is not necessarily true, but not completely untrue

one has to understand, once everything is rendered graphics processing is not done via a local GPU, it's done by a codec.

Like you don't need an amazing graphic card for movies, it's more the codec

So the Xbots in thread are gonna actually gonna pretend they never said "The Cloud" would improve the graphics for Xbox1 games? I've seen ya'll say this was the case MANY times since the Xbox1 reveal, but now y'all wanna pretend to have somewhat realistic expectations of the cloud.

nikka look trough Courtdog, Loose, or even your own post history. Don't play dumb.

Don't you know how to do a search :childplease:
You can even look for "key words" with your search. Obviously you couldn't find anything. You was just stuck on fanboy stupid. From day 1 ourselves and Microsoft has said the Cloud will be used for things like A.I. and other task WHICH FREES UP THE CONSOLE TO CONCENTRATE ON THINGS LIKE GRAPHICS thus making better graphics because of the cloud. Indirectly because of the cloud, but still because of the cloud.

You then ignored what was first said, and been running with "We said the cloud will handle the graphics directly"
Maybe the demonic spell has finally been broken? :blessed:

Nah I agree from their end "cloud" sounds a whole lot sexier to the average consumer who views the term such as "servers" as too technical or nerdy.

I just think people are running with this whole "cloud computing" nonsense and are expecting the world to them. You and I know better and one of the biggest cons with "clouds" is that the performance is just not there when you compare it to a dedicated server. The benefit is scalability, but at the cost of performance. Which sounds like a recipe for disaster when you factor in that you are dealing with millions of connections at any given time.

I'll let the others tell me otherwise though...it's not like I read up on this shyt everyday or whatever. I wish people would stop falling for marketing tactics.

VPS was clouod before the marketing term too. Yet you seem to vastly underrate what 'cloud' computing allows. CDN's is following the same principles of cloud computing, but you don't think someone using Akamai's network for fast load times around the world for content is 'just marketing ploys', do you?

I'm not a stan of either console, but 'cloud' rarely equals 'worse'.

input lag

inevitable

packet drops especially on WiFi

OnLive

Gaikai will be OnLive for consoles, Microsoft can do whatever they want with their platform...it still wont solve the ridiculous demand they are putting on people's home internet connection who have NO IDEA how this shyt works. You guys will realize that eventually "cloud gaming" this gen will be online storage at the end of the day, if not? Have fun constantly syncing with the cloud during launches, I am sure it worked out really well for EA during their SimCity launch. Scalability will likely mean shortages during peak hours as these companies will try to keep their costs down overall. You guys will learn this the hard way when it comes to gaming...you cannot possibly use the benefits of "cloud computing" when it comes to something that people expect a 1:1 experience

You guys are putting WAY too much faith in these companies :russ:

Its a damn shame you worried about bandwidth, wasn't you the dude trying to say we good on internet speeds. Yup, that waaaaz you
But I guess Xbox One and its big bad cloud will use up an extra what? 20gb a month? :stopitslime: (even tho we could easily eat that) So yeah, your fanboyism is apparent. But I see right thru you bruh...
