I won't doubt you
honestly im just guessing. herman is the next urban meyer imo. clean cut, relentless recruiter, great offensive mind. OSU struggled on offense this year partly bc they missed him. he'd be a great hire for yall. plus he was the lead recruiter for ATL area when he was at OSU.

If Uga had went about this the way LSU did. Richt would still be coaching there... They did this quickly and quietly. Never thought they would fire Richt. If I'm Miami or Va I hire Richt.

Anyway LOL @ Isaac Nauta

LOL @ Jeremy Pruitt

Pruitt crapped on FSU. We'd hire him back for a quarter of his salary.

How is Georgia a better job in the future? FSU has been relevant for over two decades in the national championship discussion. They had a 5-year span where they were down (Bowden's last years), but once they made the move to Jimbo - they've been winning 9-12 games every season. They're bringing in top recruiting classes. FSU will survive once Jimbo decides to leave too.

I think we need to wait and see what UGA does before we say something like that. They could easily become stagnant like Tennessee.

They weren't just down, they were a non-factor in terms of national title contention. And really it goes back further than that. Nobody really believed in QB's like Chris Rix type to be the answer. And this is coming from someone who was an FSU fan long before I decided to go to school at OU.

UGA won't be as bad as Tenn b/c there's too much in-state talent.

But again, right now and for the past 2-3 years FSU is a top program. 1 national title and a good coach sets all that up.

I don't think some of you know what makes one job better than another. If history was the biggest indicator, a team like Miami or Texas would have their pick of the litter. Michigan would have never hired Brady Hoke. Nebraska wouldn't be able to keep up with all of their possible coaching hires when a vacancy arises. Today, more than any other time, no one gives a shyt about what you did historically. Especially the recruits. Its more like what have you done in the last 3 years, and who is the coach?

Is UGA a better job than FSU? I give a hesitant yes. Slightly. Why? Because I believe coaches look at two things first and foremost--how well can I recruit and how much money do you have? Don't forget, this is all about business. And UGA is great at it. It's the only school (sorry yech) in a top 5 recruiting state. It's consistently a top 10(really top 5) revenue maker. It's also a top 10 brand. UGA also is top 3 in putting talent into the NFL.

Then, you look at the administration. Will they handcuff me, or do I have some wiggle room? I think this is where a program like FSU HAD an advantage. UGA had been cheap, (its getting much better now though) whether its not paying assistants properly, having some of the strictest behavior policies in the country, or a lack of football necessities (just now getting an indoor facility). But recently, boosters have been flexin on McGarity.

FSU is a great job. No doubt. They have a winning tradition, bread (not as much as UGA), a rabid fanbase and is a fertile recruiting spot (they share that though). I just think UGA is a slightly better job.

yep, a 9 win season is literally the best thing UF produced before Spurrier

ur exposing your bandwagon-ness before you even got started
Never said we were great before Spurier.
I said we had success, which through your extensive research, we can see that UF did. Thank you:cheers:
