You serious?

Mark had the #1 defense, #1 running game, #1 offensive line and we went out and got him braylon edwards and santonio holmes on top of havin a decent TE in keller and a solid slot guy in cotchery.

The jets had an elite team, sanchez just sucked.

Bruh mark had a better bunch than geno on offense
Remember who was his OC? Remember how he had a different set of receivers every year he started? Remember how his pass protection got worse every year? Remember how when the talent around him bottomed out, they brought in geno and tebow instead of a running back or anyone to catch the ball? Sanchez had all the good stuff his first 2 years and was growing as a qb. Most jet fans I know always seem to say "manning makes that throw" or some other qb on that level. He doesn't grow on trees, he wasn't this level good from the start, and in that environment, no way he grows into the manning we've seen him become.

When we needed mark to step up in his third year he regressed and looked worse.

I had season tickets. Sometimes he was better and sometimes he was worse. Again, his pass protection went to hell. He lost Braylon and they replaced him with a :flabbynsick: plaxico. The running game vanished. The defense regressed bad. Holmes was a total cancer in the locker room. They also replaced cotch with a :flabbynsick: Derrick mason. All that turmoil while keeping Brian schottenheimer as the OC is a recipie for disaster. The only guys who were blamed were Rex and Sanchez because of how the nyc media operates.

Here's the thing though. Braylon fell off too. Shonn Greene? Didn't get better.

Most of all, they asked Fez to do more and he couldn't. There was no point in investing in someone like that anymore.

Chad Pennington was hot for a quick minute. :ehh:
Personally I liked him as qb a lot. Very on point passer, good leader too. The fans and media hated him since he didn't have the arm of a young Brett Favre though. Being injury prone was a legit issue though sadly.

They did fall off, but it's unreasonable to expect a young qb to improve as his team regresses, especially with the environment the jets are in at all times. A train wreck of a locker room will prevent real progress from being made too. Sanchez made plenty of mistakes, but all that instability makes it much harder to grow.

It is reasonable though to ask a QB to improve. At the very least, don't fukk up the shyt you have control of. He did that way too many times (most of his turnovers were self-inflicted. Most of us could tell when the turnover was coming).

He's gonna bee a great d coordinator for somebody next yr.
if harbaugh leaves next year with fangio (our dc) Id take him to be our dc :manny: as long as he doesnt make personnel decisions and keeps it low key Im cool with rex
