The only little piece of hope im holding onto right now is that Foles was banged up and didnt get to play behind a healthy o-line, so what we saw this year wasnt an accurate picture of what he brings.

But thats mostly just homerism because his biggest problems this year were his footwork( he was throwing off his backfoot alot and was just very sloppy overall, it was ugly) and his lack of zip on the deepballs. He can get the ball down the field but they just float, so if someones not open and cant just run under it, youre gonna see alot of picks when he trys to throw someone open.

What you mean same stats? Expand on that breh. And I say that because one thing Foles did that Sanchez cannot do is stretch the field. Defenses let Sanchez complete short, intermediate stuff. They live with that, and in the end you don't keep them honest which hurts the run game etc. Foles beats those defenses with Maclin and Ertz on long vertical plays. Offense immediately looks explosive again.
Foles was 13-10 and Sanchez is sitting at 12-10.
Foles played during a much easier stretch of the schedule then Sanchez did and they still came up with similar numbers. And it is not like Nick Foles was some sort of constant bomb thrower either. The average yards per pass for the two QBs is very comparable as are the rest of their numbers.
Foles in the latter half of this schedule against good teams hitting their strides would have looked just as average as Sanchez because he was already looking just as average playing the dregs of the NFL.

:patrice: you know what, I can't find any holes in that. This article is sayign the same pretty much. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/12/18/nfl-mark-sanchez-nick-foles-philadelphia-eagles/

Foles is still who I'm trusting the offense with. Stats don't tell the whole story. Foles is infinitely the better option with more upside imo. We've seen Foles play much better. This is like the best we've ever seen Sanchez play and its not horrible but it's not great either.

EDIT: You mentioned the average yards per pass being comparable, whats the completion percentage like on those passes though between the two?

You can continue to have faith in Foles' potential if you want to but the guy has somehow lucked out of ever having to play good teams when those teams star players were all healthy. He built that 27-2 playing against utter garbage and now he can't even shine against the same quality of bad teams if his 13-10 for this season is any indication.
Dude is, at best, an Alex Smith or Andy Dalton level of QB and who the fukk wants Alex Smith or Andy Dalton as their franchise quarterback?
