You know why :mjpls:

Cause players look at who he trained like Bradley Beal...and think he can get them to the NBA

I am pretty sure Bradley Beal was his first NBA bound client and then it snowballed from there...

Plus Hanlen smart enough to only train full-time NBA prospects...so he looks good...cause all his clients make it...

You fellas might be right....cause I feel like he seems way more flash than substance...but word of mouth is a powerful thing...if you make enough guys feel comfortable then you can slide on rep

This is the problem with this new “trainer” fad. Got 5’8 white guys taking credit for Embiid and Tatum :mjlol: both guys have been future all-stars since high school, and have worked with many guys, but they’ll give the credit to Hanlen who basically opens the gym and rebounds for them.

These NBA guys let their agents call the shots and link them up with trainers for IG likes and probably a kickback.

Hanlen planted this story in the media so he can try and save face. Dude has been a fraud.

Hanlen has been Tatum's trainer since he was 12 though

A lot of it is agent influenced. Agents looking to get their guy some pub so they link them with trainers with big IG/social media followings (C Brinkley is another one). That’s how you get these guys paying $20-30k for a rebounder. The IG trainers also train a lot of the bigger names once or twice for free, get a bunch of footage and then sell that hype to soccer moms who don’t know any better to get their kids in the door.

This might be the most plausible answer.....cause what is the extra value that they could be bringing over the team training staff to command that money

this is the weirdest basketball story ever. he's pretty much useless right now.
I almost feel like it's sabotage but why would anyone want to intentionally diminish their value and standing in the league if he didn't want to be a sixer then he should play great and request a trade

How does anyone who's played a competitive sport all their life..
Just lose all their confidence.. and forget how to shoot without some catastrophic injury

The medical has been done and there's no injury

If you watch his videos from college he's just smooth as fukk in everything

He's only 20 though so he could find himself again but ..

I dunno.. We've never seen anything like this before

Beal said he could barely even keep up with Drew in their first few workouts.

Plus the guy shot over 50% from 3 his last year of college. It's not like he's some bum. Sometimes trainers just can't help certain people. Dwight trained with multiple HOFers on his post game, and it didn't seem to help.

Wait now I’m confused are we talking about Bradley Beal that plays for the Wiz?

Wasn’t he one and done at Florida?

One man asked Hanlen to work out his son, a freshman-to-be for Chaminade.

“I worked out Bradley Beal one time,” Hanlen said of the No. 3 pick in the 2012 draft. “He about passed out. Hated it.”

But after Beal’s freshman season, he began working out with Hanlen for three hours a day. Beal won a state title as a sophomore.
