He didn't. The whole mental health angle is off. Fultz never displayed ANY of this shyt until he got hurt somewhere between the draft and training camp last year.
It's clear something went down, whether the injury was misdiagnosed/mistreated by the team, whether he withheld information from the team, etc.. the answer is somewhere in the middle.
Shooting coaches are fukkin useless...unless he knows how to shoot 97% from the field I’m not sure how they truly improve someone’s game ..especially kids that have been playing ball since they were young

I cringe reading some of these cats talk about mental health. Tourette's? Really? Do you niccas even know what that is? Spectrum? Jesus Christ just stfu. The yips thing is cool and it can explain a decent amount of things but all these other mild autism/[insert random bullshyt] diagnoses in here are trash and is part of the thinking that makes coming back from these types of issues so difficult.
I wouldnt say they're useless. but it takes YEARS to fix a jump shot / add anything substantial to your game.

Whoever said Aspergers is on to something. I read 6-7 pre-draft features on him and he literally talks about the same shyt in every one. Plus his former private coach said Fultz was the clumsiest kid he ever seen. Even had a nickname for him. Also had an awkward social moment when followed by a mag cause he attempted to talk to a girl who didn't recognize who he was. It all makes sense. I think the NBA is too big for him and has made him regress w/ his condition. I may be wrong but a few of the articles he hinted about hating a lot of attention and he seemed happy people didn't know who he was when he was at Washington.
Edit: also the flat affect. His mom seems overprotective in an abnormal way. I've worked in mental health and have been around some folks who were on the spectrum. Just the consistency b/t all these different articles is odd. I mean he has similar quotes & stories of awkwardness in all of them. Plus he was about to be the #1 pick yet he's fixated on being cut from varsity as a sophmore in every fukking article.
