After the In Control show on WBLS and right before he took over the Future Flavas show on Hot 97, Marley Marl had the Pirate Radio Show with Pete Rock and K Def that use to come on 105.9 WNWK. WNWK (which was originally WHBI) use to have a lot of dope Hip Hop shows like The Awesome 2, DNA and Hank Love, The Dirty Dozens, Best Of Both Worlds with Mr. Magic and Mr. Cee. That's why radio was dope in the 90's. You had a variety of Hip Hop shows every night, whether it was on Hot 97 or college/community radio (WKCR, WNYU, WNWK, WBAI)
