It's more of a product of throwing off speed pitches earlier and earlier in their life. Throwing curves, sliders etc. when theyre arms haven't built the strength for it
that's true also, iirc i heard either the Slider or Curve takes the most out of your arm. and you got 12 and 13 year olds throwing that stuff all the time. I'll be playing ball with a bunch of neighborhood kids and they know how to throw and all that.
