This is a grown ass man in his early 20s. Why hasn't he figured life out yet or know where he wants to be. and if he really didn't like his father why would he go out of his way to ruin his career?

To me this sounds like the common case of a child being born with a silver spoon in their mouth and now the inheritance and personal funding from daddy has been cut off because they haven't worked to understand what they have (in money) is very fickle.
