a lot of marriages end because the kids changes the dynamic and the parents aren't able to reconcile the change.

If you want to put the kids first, i would say have the kids first then, The get married later once they are more grown.

...I think you have to nurture your relationship. If the family is intact the kids will ultimately have a more secure home and relationship with their parents imo. I think it’s a mistake in relationships when people let themselves take a backseat and focus solely on their kids. A strong bond between the parents will lead to a stronger household, I hope you understand what I’m saying. I am not saying neglect your children, just that when the sole focus becomes child rearing, either party can feel less than.

I just feel like focusing on each other will still yield the same results if you are both of the same mindset.
