i been married for 9 years. been with my wife for 13 years total. i'm 35 years old. we have 2 sons, one 15 (her son) and one 11 (our son together). we have had extreme ups (we are in an extreme up right now) and extreme downs. we managed to keep everything together. my wife is a wonderful woman; beautiful, very driven, and intelligent. however, i think we have hit a rut. sex right now is (down to once a week :) when it used to be . affection has dwindled. it's more like we are just going through the motions. it has been like that for about a little over a year now. it started around the time we were getting laid off and losing houses, cars, etc. we hit a wall sexually then, and never recovered. but something has got to happen soon, because i'm getting tired of living like this. i don't want to get to the point where i cheat or i end up sharing my wife it's unfortunate, because before all of that, we were and humping like rabbits. hopefully we can come to some sort of solution...

Me and wifey will hit 14 years this September. Got two boys, 12 and 8. Everything is sweet. We've had some ups and downs, but no more than any other married couple. As was said, the key is communication. As we went along, we learned to communicate our likes and dislikes. For example, she grew up in a house where it wasn't no thing to have like 500 people in ya crib at the drop of a hat. I grew up in a family where everybody knew to give each other some space and not be all up in ya business.... So when we got married, I would come home from work and her moms, her sister, cousins and other females would be in the house just running they mouth, when I just want to come home and .. So then I would have the face going when I would come home and see all these people. After a couple fights, we was able to figure it out. We live in NC now, after most of her family left NY and moved to FL, so it ain't even an issue now.

Sex is straight, and was never really a problem. I think the fact that her pops dipped out on her moms probably helped with that, in a strange way. Her pops left her moms for one of her friends when wifey was about 12 (she was the one that caught him ), and is still married to the broad. I used to hear from my mother in law how she tried to give him another chance and stick it out for the kids, and he was like "nah, I'm good", and I figured that there had to have been something that he was getting from the next broad that my mother in law wasn't doing. So I kicked that to my wife when she asked why I was usually so cool with her pops (I would take the nikka out to dinner or whatever when he would come through). I told her that since she was young, she ain't ever really get the adult perspective, she just got whatever her moms was feeding her. So I think she made a conscious effort to keep the sex tight so she don't end up like her moms.

Funny thing with the sex is, I think I'm getting to a point where my 12 year old is like when we're like "OK, ya'll go in your room, we gonna talk for a little while".... LOL

Me and wifey went at it last night and for whatever reason the chemistry was so off that everything was either awkward, mechanical or painful. We just quit in the middle of it. Maybe we were sleepy and forcin it. We're gonna get a do over today tho.

Am I a lame now or should I just walk around like as if nothing happened. I don't wanna give her the power of getting an inkling that I'm a wack dikk ass nikka cuz it was her fault too

There's some good inspiration in this thread. I recently started leaning towards the settling down with my girl life. Could be that the feelings have been amplified cause we have a baby on the way.

I'm gonna hit 3 years in October. shyt's all gravy. No kids so we've been jet setting and enjoying US for a while and will continue this for another 2 years. Her career is demanding so even when she's home, we're not kicking it all the time cuz she's studying. So I get peace of mind and time for my hobbies.

Ditto to everyone saying communication is key. We talk about everything.

been with my wife since 02, been married since 10...2 years in july

between us - 5 little nappy head nigglets. 3 girls 2 boys

i like that my wife is older than me and is basically on point 100% of the time, because im certainly not. me being the oldest sibling, its nice as hell not to have to lead and make all the decisions all the fukking time

i like that she can cook better than me because i had to teach all my exes how to cook. i get super tired of my own recipes

the sex is incredible more and more every time because i can basically do whatever i want to that thang. it adapted well lol

only thing i hate is that i have to come home every night. i miss getting fukked up and just crashing at my brothers or cousins house. or just riding around looking for trouble all night.
