So he was just your starter husband?
That wasn't the intent at all. I truly, at the time, thought it would be forever. Turned out to be the case though! Now I have my boo--- who does everything right :wow:
I know you're going to say :usure:, but I have a clearer vision of what I know I want. It takes time.... and apparently, a failed, but educational marriage.

really what I'm I going to say?

that everyone thinks their special and their marriage is going to last forever?

that the average first marriage lasts on average 7 years, how long were you married for again? :lupe:

that women fall out of love and initiate 70% of divorces - who filed the papers hmmmmmmm?

that technically you had a starter husband, the two bdrm bungalow straight out of college that suits your needs at a young age, but after awhile its not good enough anymore, its boring and well your smarter and wiser now and know what you want that 4 bdrm house with the picket fence

that you admitted your husband did nothing wrong, no infidelity etc., just that "passion" wasn't there, but now you have a boo who does everything right, just like your husband did when you married him :lupe:

that now that your older, wiser and smarter, you now know what you want, even though statistics show that second marriages have a dissolution rate of 67%?

that your content being friends with your ex husband and your bf doesn't mind that you communicate with your ex husband? :childplease:

actually, that's her sister who's cropped out of the pic. she happens to be in medical school down here in nashville where I'm at now. I just took her and her two buddies out for dinner like an hour ago. she the same age as my little brother.

mine is, and after 15 years together she is still fine. She is one of the best looking women I have ever laid eyes on (no hyperbole). Brown skin ( yeah I love black women) down to Earth, works out, counts her calories, can cook, takes care of her man, and is educated to the highest degree. I found a keeper, and during my time lurking and listening to the black woman bashing, I laugh because y'all missing out. Especially if she shares the same culture as you .

Ooooooh I LOVE to bring light to my previous situation. Assuming ass people. I was married for a year in a half to answer your first question. (but we were both in school and could finally afford a dream wedding after 5+ years)

To address the second assumption, I got with him in his second year of law school, was with him as he graduated and also passed the patent bar to become an intellectual property attorney, who I moved all over CA with to end up in West Hollywood because he was with a firm that rep'd Apple. We moved back home, when I found a better job than I had in LA, and he was done with law, seeing as it made him work literally 18 hours a day. He then got a job here to be a software developer (his original major before law at an engineering school). He is very successful currently, as am I.

I'm not the one to place blame, things just didn't work out. I was never in it for the money. I asked for nothing in the divorce. I could have gotten some bomb ass alimony. Not necessary.

Last, I only communicate with my ex to tie up loose ends. We ended up just fine.
