What slang have you heard white Brits pick up over the years?
I feel like init is a good example, but wondering what others.
You better off asking my breh @Clapsteel O'Neal
To give you my answer.
Everything and I'm going back 25+ years. But you have to remember, a lot of the Jamaican/Caribbean slang in the UK started to become more common from dance music back in the 90's and pirate radio, where the black, white and beige/brown had unity on the music tip. So slang words reached the masses all over London and as a teenager you going to pick up words your peers are saying.
I consider innit in the same category as cant. Just the lazy version of Isn't it and Cannot, it has no colour, just working class background to it. Like I said, I was saying Innit back in the day as a kid
.Like the word ting, is both Irish/Jamaican/Caribbean. The Irish cannot say Th words together.
