Definition of selfish... (at least it seems to be that way)

You would think after a year long suspension, you'd kinda come in and be humble. Not saying he shouldn't care about his numbers/money, but this isn't the way to go about that.
Young cats a lot of times, rush right in, before assessing the situation. I mean, does he think how other teams will see this? The Steelers control your contract (like it or not) so the best
thing he could do is just play the game. Demand more balls/snaps from your coordinators, maybe even go up to the HC, but pulling THIS type of stuff? Nah not smart...

Remember breh, you're a receiver, you like 3rd in line to get paid, plus you got a certified star across from you, they not bout to give you big dough or trade you to a team that will hurt them.

I get it, he wanna get that AB attention and money, but couldn't stay disciplined enough to chill on the bud...What you think these coaches/gms gon do? What you think they gon tell other teams that potentially want you?
Breh not being wise. They'll use this plus all that suspension stuff to paint that cloud over you. Yeah, teams want the talent (a lot of times not caring about the potential trouble it could cause), but when you're as troubled as Mr. Bryant has been
these last few years, what team in their right mind would give ANYTHING, much less a decent player or pick for all that? Of course they gon lowball the Steelers, thus, preventing them from moving you...smh

He's about to be a free agent, gotta get paid

This is why I don't have a problem with what he's doing. I'm guessing his agent tried to get the front office to trade him and they are dragging their feet. He's trying to get a new deal and he can't get if Ben won't target him. There's teams that could use him like Buffalo.

It's unprofessional but that's football:manny:

fukk this nikka. :birdman:

We stood by him twice on suspensions and he wants to come back like this, I'm done:hubie:

So you think ur gonna force a release, take a suspension and be gone next year or even force us to trade you...:stopitslime::patrice::ufdup:

I'd fire 1 warning shot to him today, and tell him 'pull some other shyt and it's suspension without pay for the season for conduct detrimental to the team':francis:
Then I would tell him that at that point, since you're under contract for another year, we would revisit this in the off-season. If u come back like a fukk nikkas, we will not only keep u on the roster, but suspend ur ass again. Don't think for 1 2nd ur forcing ur way out fukk nikka. You playing checkers,:sas1:

It could be worse, at least hes not smoking again. Don't see this as some huge deal but if it happens again it'll start to become one

Its not the Steelers fault this dude kept fukking up off the field. Thats his problem. These dudes know when the damn test are coming and he still failed the test multiple times. Dude has missed 20 games due to his own doing. Him talking reckless is only hurting his pay day. He does have another year left on his contract.

PIT waited a year for him to get back on the field, they aint gonna throw that investment away for some late round pick

he'll only be on year 4 of his rookie deal next year because of the susp, so id sit on him until he wants to grow up

I've been watching him. He's not the same guy he was before the suspension. Ben hasn't been very good either tho so who knows

Steel City
Steelers have no plans to trade or discipline Martavis Bryant, source says

“I just wish he were here to answer his own questions,’’ veteran guard Ramon Foster, the team’s union representative, told the Post-Gazette. “I’m over that.”

Defensive captain Cam Heyward said Bryant should stay off social media.

“I wish it didn’t happen at all. To each his own. I’m not going to judge a man for how he feels, but he has to be smarter.”

“No, he’s not here,’’ Foster said of Bryant. “I don’t know what happened. I think he called in sick today. I don’t know. I just wish he were here to answer his own questions. You can’t throw that stuff out there on social media land and expect no forest fires behind it.”

It’s not the first time Bryant called in “sick.” He missed two practices one week with what the Steelers said was an illness and then another practice the following week for the same reason. That occurred around the time he or his camp had asked for a trade.

Last week, his teammates joked about the trade talk, saying they would send him to the Golden State Warriors and some of them wanted to go as well. Now they’re getting tired of whatever game he’s playing.

“He can’t leave us here to answer, is how I feel about it,’’ Foster said. “I feel like last week we kind of pushed it aside and then you double down on it? Not cool from a teammate perspective.”

Smith-Schuster, the Steelers’ second-round draft pick, also was left to answer questions about Bryant’s words and he did so willingly to a pack of media in the locker room Monday.

“I’m totally fine,” he said. “Me and Martavis are totally cool. Ever since I got here from the beginning, we’re close friends. We all want the ball. It’s hard.”

“A very good team win,’’ Foster noted. “My thing is, when we win, everybody eats. You know that. Those guys get paid for just being on the team. It’s frustrating when you have to answer for that.”

Added Heyward, “I don’t care about that. We’re worried about the Lions now. We’re just trying to win games. We have a lot of good guys in here. You have to enjoy a good win. There’s stuff that happens, but you can’t really worry about it.”
