About what I thought, would have liked to see him get the 180 months, the AUSA wanted...They were trying to end up. But, really, they must have known the judge would end up in the middle. Brafman was asking for 16 months.

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
Never really hated this dude that much

The media used him to be completely honest and he was too dumb to aee that

He thought he was becoming a star

No bro. They used you.

He knew that most people who need these drugs have insurance, and INSURANCE has to pay the money. No person would have paid that much for the meds. Not even close but thats not what I he media reported.

He found a way to hustle the INSURANCE companies. So the insurance companies used the media against him and put a target on his back through public opinion by bending the truth.

His dumb ass thought his other shyt wouodnt come to light. Hes smart but in a different way , dumb and completely lacking elsewise.

He was feelin himself. He coulda kept his mouth shut and stayed out the oublic eye. For that he has noone to blame but himself.

and the wu shyt... conpletely unnecessary but if i was the fan who paid 2 million to my favorite group and they threw me under the bus off pure disinfo id be mad too.

His snarkiness prevented anyone from believing him

The only good thing from this i dont understand how any prior contract has any bearing if people buy the album in an auction.

Ehh if you're saying his issues with the pharmaceutical industry had nothing to do with him being targeted I would disagree. Same way nikkas get targeted for one thing or another and til they can find an actual charge to pin on them. Seem more like common sense than a conspiracy to me. And I have more of an issue with the perception of the whole thing before the verdict and how people were championing the system based off of "He bought a wu-tang album! he's smug, he's a troll, he tried to kill Aids patients!".

As far as him doing however much time :yeshrug:

In a nut shell.

What are you basing that off of except emotion though? You don't like the pharmaceutical industry so it's easy to believe they had their government connects go to after him. More likely story is he was a troll who bragged about being a supervillain so the Feds, who hate cocky crooks, looked at his activities. The man snitched on himself online. That's all Skreli. Hip-hop sites had the story up before he even got arrested. Even if they wanted him to go down, they wouldn't have had to lift a finger.

Either way, I don't feel as happy. I'd rather see Trump there than him.

You can pull the docket and see the investigation began before he announced the price increase, it's public record. Investors who lost money alerted the SEC who rolled it to the FBI, they decided to indict him in late 2015, the fraud alleged takes places in prior years.

The fraud was in the early 2010's, and his involvement in funds goes back to 2006/2007.

There's even more to it than this. Once he started talking politics, it was a wrap for him.

Trying to buy a Hilary hair :mjlol::pachaha::pachaha:while Obama was still in office and the FBI is investigating you? Bad idea.

The timing of that SEC ---> FBI referral isn't a coincidence :manny:
99.9% of cases like this end in a financial settlement with the investors, well before the FBI gets involved - they're all big boys, they know what they're doing and what they're getting into. :manny:
Hate it had to be him, he really did come up from nothing. That drug price increase was :ohlawd::ohlawd::pachaha:

Watch who you cross, brehs.

:wow:

The saddest part about all of this is that despite the fact that hes going away for 7 years, he's fukking rich when he gets out. Like he'll have tens of millions of dollars. Is there anyone here who would go to prison for 7 years if they were guaranteed to be rich as hell when they came out? I might consider it tbh

Appreciate the info, you are a hawk when it comes to these big drug and fraud cases. You should do a blog.

I am not sure about that.....At sentencing they put his net worth at 27 million, but I am not sure how accurate that is now. He used his etrade account to secure his bond. He owes 7.4 million in cash or assets. He had to pay one of the most expensive lawyers in NY for a trial, and representation for years, he no longer runs a hedge fund, and is no longer on the drug company board. For sure he's better off than many who will be in fed prison, but this conviction and the penalties attach, he's done in finance. He will have to do something different when he's out.

@NegroTurbo, you're welcome and thanks, I just like the facts in black & white, so many people just go off emotions or speculation.
