That was why I brought up Hunter the White Wolf. Priest's BP already had an adopted White older brother, so there's precedent for T'Challa to do the same for Ross's kid.

From a purely literary standpoint, the story has been terrible. The pacing thus far off and unnecessarily disjointed. The characters don't even feel like real characters and instead, feel like actors saying lines in a very bad play, which is bad because these are formerly established characters in the lore. By itself, the story thus far does not stand up. As someone who is a fan of BP, it's even worse. This story is pure "turn your brain off and enjoy" which simply doesn't fly for some stories, especially one with such a character especially in such charged times. Thus far, it is a shyt idea with an even more shyt execution.

Its only saving grace is the art. It's actually actually decent. The only reason I read this shyt in the first place. The covers are also top tier.

Look, it's awesome that the BP franchise has become a celebration of the African diaspora and African culture, but being a serious fan means understanding that this is a fairly recent development. Even while Black people were writing it.

I'm not even defending those additions. Kasper Cole was a mistake that shouldn't have lasted longer than a couple issues.

But to suggest that an editor gave a "mandate" to include not just a White character, but a *new* White character doesn't even sound right. The only time editors require a writer to include certain characters is if A) it actually helps the story or B) there's a character who needs to be included to keep the copyrights fresh. Sometimes both.

How is this any different to Black Panther's CAC brother?

This is just sounds like the same story but with T'Challa doing the adoption instead of his father.
