Not gonna lie, I'm really impressed with how smooth the game play feels. Watching the videos makes the game seem like it's gonna be kinda stiff with basic combos, but the combos can get pretty crazy with tags, supers and assist.

Played about 4-5 levels last night with my girls (5 & 12). They both liked it quite a bit as well, tho they can't appreciate all the ins and outs of everything that I can about it. Just unlocked Phoenix this morning in bed on the portal. Plays extremely well on there, essentially as expected. I definitely hope they support this one for a few years with a few more levels/modes and at least a quarter more other characters. Not saying that it necessarily needs either, just that I can see enjoying it that much that they could do that much and I'd be a happy and willingly paying customer all for it too. Especially since as is, I only paid 9 bucks for it, lol!
