Phase 4 has been mid so far, im behind a bit in the movies and a lot in the shows. The appeal used to be the unraveling of the connected story. Now there pretty much is no story and its become an endless laundry list of new characters and "appeances" fan service. These properties are starting to depend too much on crossovers, where the appeal/hype of a new movie or show is "this character appears" "this character is introduced" yet most of them are inconsequential to the story. Like if we're lucky we'll seen some of the nikkas in shang chi get a few seconds of screentime in the next big avengers teamup scene.
Overall there is too many mfing superheroes now and no real use for them with the most mid selling points. "Monica knows captain marvel guys

" "Scotts daughter gets antman powers too guys! ""Jon snow is a knight teaming up with blade!

" To do what?
Like they announced the Thunderbolts for what? To fight whom? Who cares? They have the Eternals for what?
They may have got me with No Way Home but im not so much of a nerd to be excited for some of this other shyt "Look breh professor xavier!

" "jim from the office as alternate universe reed richards!

" "They brought in Xmen quicksilver for a boner joke!

"
People are just looking forward to who/what gets introduced into the MCU at this point but not really as invested in the story/universe itself. Waiting for Dr. doom or xmen doesn't do anything to make the Hawkeye show not trash
