A weakened Galactus lol a full power Galactus would’ve brushed that off.
it is not an attack of force. it is an attack of guile.
galactus' battery levels have nothing to do with it.
galactus loathes his destructive role in the universe. he was after all previously just "galen".
this is all examined in Thanos mini-series 2003 issue 4 where galactus tries to consume the infinity gems to stop his hunger for destruction.
"But what made Galactus the PERFECT DUPE was his deeply buried SELF-LOATHING, his almost unacknowledged DESIRE to ESCAPE the DESTRUCTIVE ROLE he plays in the universe."
remember: galactus has on occasion stopped consuming inhabited planets (and not just becuase of surfer).
galactus promised richards not to attack earth because of his gratitude.
his has morals and doubts
