Knew this shyt would bomb

FF is one of the most bland superhero IP around

And why the hell does Pedro Pascal have to be in everything? shyt is ridiculous

Marvel been cooked, nail is in the coffin

That run they had definitely had luck and just the perfect storm for success, they can't recapture that at all. Feige has shown himself to be incompetent.

Outside of the transcendent heroes like Supes, Spider-Man and Batman expectations should be lowered for these going forward in regards to the box office.

Really good movie though, this one and Thunderbolts are 2 steps in the right direction the studio from a quality standpoint.

the “solo” Marvel movie has been cooked since they opened the fantasy team up box with NWH. People are conditioned to only really come out for the team up event movies now.

I honestly believe F4 opened as big as it did due to the Doom association. People showed up just in case. Kinda like how MoM opened big but dropped hard once ppl knew the crazy rumors were false.

The only post Endgame MCU movies I've watched a 2nd time are No Way Home and DP3 and that's probably more because of nostalgia reasons.
Dr. Strange 2 really should have been one of their successful billion dollar movies. Introducing popular Fox properties for the first time, but instead they nerf the characters, turn it into Wandavision part 2 and clearly had no bigger picture plan with the writing.

Interesting points. 'Captain Marvel' was another case where it was tied into the next 'Avengers' movie and it did crazy business at the box office. Then the sequel 'The Marvels' became the biggest bomb in the entire MCU.

I think 'Doomsday' is going to do huge business but that first act is going to have a lot of work to do setting up Doom as a character and the entire plot.

Honorable mentions of things that hurt the MCU: 'She-Hulk' and 'Secret Invasion.' Two shows that should have never been green lit.

In Retrospect this being the only movie we getting until July 2026 IDK if it is going to bode well momentum wise. This should have come out before thunderbolts with how that ended to keep the momentum going paired with a Feb Dr Strange 3 flick with the Incursions + Doom Cameo again maybe even flexing magic.

Marvel’s biggest sin is they refuse to spend their money on GREAT writers.

Their recent films are very wordy, long expositions, no memorable quotables, nothing epic.

After Secret Wars Marvel should just put the MCU on pause for like 3 to 4 years and come back with a full reboot of the universe and bring back Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Black Widow, T’Challa and Hulk.

Their new films have all been a huge flop apart from BPWF and GOTG3.

I knew it was over when they casted RDJ as Doom out of desperation.

Basically Avengers are the Main Game for the MCU, any Superhero-focus movie is a glorified DLC.

But the avengers consists of a bunch of characters no one cares about anymore; the thunderbolts, Sam Wilson, antman, FF4,and Thor and Strange coming off terrible movies

The casual viewer doesn’t know who Doctor Doom is and is yet to even see RDJ in costume to make a link :comeon:

The movie is sinking because of a lack of action. A superhero movie which is expected to be an action movie CANNOT have just 2 action scenes and expect to be a hit. The only exception if there’s a nostalgic gimmick or it’s the end of the franchise.

Instead of rehashing Rise of the silver surfer. They should have had Galactus come down with his crew.

I mean yea, Doom was right there with Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben flopping/underperforming/being mid in the previous three F4 movies that came out in the last 20 years :pachaha:

Audiences care more about RDJ than they do Victor, and even then Disney may be overplaying their hand thinkin RDJ outside of the red n gold will still be their lord and savior…

…thinkin they getting ‘98 Jordan but he comes out in Washington Wizards attire :mjlol:<- I digress tho

Don't put the current issues on those 4 films as this was going to happen regardless.

Casual fan interest in the MCU ended with Endgame and they should have focused on quality vs quantity instead of trying to expand the universe into both TV and movies.

The movie was boring was fukk and a major disappointment if it's going to lead into Doomsday
