This was a lot better than I expected. I actually enjoyed it. Really enjoyed the Johnny/Silver Surfer interactions in particular and I think the woman playing Sue is a star. She just shines and can act in ways that grounds a scene. I was hoping for a little more angst and discussion around what happened to Ben and how he’s wrestling with the consequences. It’s implied well but I thought they could have done more with that. I do agree with those that say something was missing but it kept me engaged. Looking forward to seeing how this baby turns out and how RDJ plays Doom. Definitely checking out the next one. 8/10

What was so great about the thunderbolts? Movie was kinda forgettable to me. Felt like Black widow 2.
Better writing, better chemistry between characters, better finale, better performances. better narrative themes,

Just look at the finale boss battles. In fantastic 4 galactus is build-up as a badass throughout the movie,an entity that can destroy entire planets. When he get to earth he get taken out by a super forcefield push and a ding to the head by a surf board and he falls into a portal.:laff:
That nikka didn't kill anybody, nikka barely did any damage to anything. It undid all that build-up of terror and doom that was pervasive in the second half of the film.

Compare that to thunderbolts final boss battle. Sentry/void was taking out cities, taking out kids  All the hinting they did throughout the movie about Bob being dangerous they delivered on it.

Superman final boss battle was trash. Superman vs evil Superman :unimpressed:

Shıt was cool. Y'all overhyping it and bullshıtting saying it's better than Superman. Fụck no! :mjlol:

Sidenote:
There was this sassy ass fụcking yn with a bıtch voice talking loud af next to me. I was so tempted to crack his shıt. A mother and her kids left cause this nıgga and I had to switch seats. Never going to that theater again.

Overall - about a 7.7/10, I won't rewatch - too much dead time.

Calling it the best fantastic 4 movie ain't nothing to run home about.

Calling it the best marvel movie since endgame seems logical since marvel hasn't dropped not 1 good series outside X Men 97'.

I'll pass on Doomsday. Plus the end credit looked mad goofy. The 2nd end credit ain't worth sticking around for.
Shut up fakkit

i took nothing away from this movie. might be the barometer for "hey, that was ok" MCU movies. plenty worse, but i take something away from every bad movie. I enjoyed the Hulk fight in a considerably worse Cap 4 movie more than any sequence in this movie. i'm not leaving it thinking about how great it's gonna be to see a single character again. i'm having a hard time picking which part of the movie was the best (first Galactus encounter by default i guess)

Marvel has never done a director's cut, but this movie needs one. hope there's a ferver on the internet for it. release the Mole Man/Red Ghost/More Action/More Laughs cut

Objectively it probably is but it is also pretty typical cookie-clutter Marvel stuff, while Superman has more memorable scenes and a certain charm to it that this doesn't.

Superman had 20 different things going on which made the story too messy. Some things could've been scrapped to tighten up the story. The humor was too much and the stakes weren't there.

F4 kept things contained to what was important. The movie flowed better. Visually it was superior. The stakes were higher. It could've used 10 more minutes to devote to more action.

As a popcorn movie Superman was fun. It had plenty of action.

F4 was superior in storytelling and the tone was far more serious.

It all comes down to which you prefer but I always lean to story. I was immersed into F4's world the entire time whereas in Superman I kept checking out mentally when something silly happened.

Only advantage Superman has is the excitement for a new universe. F4 has the burden of carrying the baggage of the MCU. I'm tired of the universe thing and wish we'd get some standalone films so they can get creative. The Miles movies are still the best thing going by far.

I’ll also say this subverted expectations for me in terms of the ending because going I assumed Galactus wins and that’s how they end up in the 616 universe
Think we’ll probably get the sequel to FF in the first half of Doomsday. Kinda like how IW starts off as the continuation to Ragnarok (Thor’s ship of Asguard refugees gets raided by Thanos).

Maybe Doom needs Franklin as a way to the travel through the multiverse kinda like how Wanda needed America? :patrice:

People complaining about Reed being able to have that much influence to make people have light curfews but didn’t we have Dr Fauci announcing COVID and the whole world threw on a mask? :patrice:

Sure we all put up a fight in a way lol but in this universe I assume the influence of heroes who’ve advanced society would make a world less cynical than ours?
