Of course there are going to be differences in details in the actual movie but on surface based upon the trailers that are being depicted it lifted the same general plot line of that particular element of the story
Like how hard is this to understand

Quit trying to get daps and props it's been depicted on film one time 18 years ago and it's lifting the same plot line from that movie
They could have picked a million and one storylines to do and they decided on one the general public was familiar with. Quit this attempt to be cute.
It literally has the exact same scene of Johnny Storm following the Silver Surfer into space.

So are you suggesting there was nothing else to do in THE FIRST MOVIE and not put Galactus or Silver Surfer in it? Those characters could have easily been in the 2nd film
You're going to tell their origin story and introduce the Silver Surfer and Galactus in 2 hours??!! Something's going to be cut and not detailed we saw what happened the first time they tried to do that. It's too much to jam in one film
Why not do a solo SS picture first?
It's pretty obvious that Galactus is going to destroy that version of Earth and its universe and then they're going to get transported over to the next one where everyone else is
I personally always wanted the Silver Surfer in Guardians of the Galaxy 3
A quick cameo going past their ship or them going past the planet

Well, the FF in First Steps are in a different universe, and the goal is obviously to make them end up in the main MCU universe. Galactus and Silver Surfer being in it is pretty much the only way to accomplish that.
Matt Shakman (director) didn't want to use Doom in the film, so Galactus and Surfer were the other major options. Also, this will be the first time that we'll see a proper Galactus on film. The 2007 film had Galactus being the "controller" of a space cloud, and we never really saw Galactus.
