Is it true that these new fighting games are ditching combination inputs for moves?
If so...fukk that modern control shyt.

so 4 new fighting games are coming out (HxH nen Impact, Invicible, 2xKo, and Marvel) 3 of these games have no classic inputs. The marvel game will have both the classic and modern controls. Is it true that these new fighting games are ditching combination inputs for moves?

With it being 4x4 then yea 20-24 characters makes sense
“Face of Marvel”, so basically all the MCU characters that got a solo movie from 2008-2018 as well as the usual x-suspects; i.e. Wolverine, Magneto, and especially Psylocke’s Japanese ass.
Characters that “balance battle types”? Doubtful someone like Luke Cage is playable. He’s behind Hulk, Thing, and probably even Juggernaut, who all tick the same gameplay box.
“Few surprises”/“never been playable”? Um… Blade. Or some of them Asian characters like Luna Snow again.
Thats why Magik and Gambit are likely to be in it
just putting strong punching guys in the game doesn’t feel useful.
Also the redundancy factor. Wolverine and BP are similar archetypes on the surface but each can be uniquely optimized to justify both in the launch roster (plus both are too popular to omit). I don't know if the same can be said for Miles as a launch character, despite his popularity. Might end up a Marvel Rivals thing where they said they'll get around to him (and Gwen) eventually.
Magik is like the new era fav to cameo in games. She’s in almost everything now, probably because her power set is so versatile. She has teleportation, demonic transformation, big sword skills, etc. etc.X-Men wise, imo it'll obviously be the core '92 TAS roster outside of like Beast lol. I don't think anyone cares about Jubilee either for whatever reason. Psylocke for sure, and Magik does have a bit of a cult following and unique design/play style.
This might honestly a day 1 buy for me. Is this a complete new IP? Would be good as I wouldn't have to deal with veterans, everybody on the same playing field.
