nikka...... that first season was cool cause it was a continuous story... bruh the other 2 seasons was straight trash :laff::laff::laff: like they ditched the one ongoing story and just had em be a bunch of random episodes
folks get mad when you tell em the cartoon wasnt even that good

Season 2 was the one after the movie right?

TAS trotted out more than a few really bad arcs, story-wise. Some of that shyt was straight :hhh: in hindsight. And when people talk about the animation being better than Spectacular, they can only be talking about the art style. Because after the second season TAS got cheap as hell with the animation itself; spidey went from this awesome, fluid web swinging style to basically doing the Tarzan swing everywhere.

TAS is like the OG Transformers, imo. The memory and what the show represented is so strong, some people overlook the fact that they weren't nearly as consistent as some of the really great cartoon series. Both shows had classic moments. Both were filled with a lot of trash as well.

Spot on with the transformers analogy. We watched the first season in my college suite freshman year and were all hype. Then it started and we went from :blessed: to:patrice:to:hhh:

And yeah a lot of bad storylines and just convoluted stuff in the animated series. But because we grew up on it it must be and has to be worshipped :francis: fukk outta here. The cartoon is important and good but it's flawed as hell. There are episodes I could tune out whereas every single episode of spectacular is key

7am on Saturday lol. And then they replay it several times during the day. I just peep it on demand

I will not tolerate this OG Transformers blasphemy I still watch the old episodes wit my son on DVD it's still great to me :birdman: ...........although the 1st season animation, tone, and story wise is better than most of the later seasons. The movie is still the GOAT :blessed:

I just peeped the last 2 episodes and they're alright. I'll hang in for a bit longer.

Do we have an Avengers Assemble thread? I see there were 5 episodes dropped on Aug 27th

Transformers the Movie is GOAT status breh.

The actual animated series tho.

Just saying it doesn't hold up that well upon repeated viewings. There was an episode with Merlyn and the knights of the fukking round table. :russ:

:snoop: I don't count those but the whole 1st season, the creation of the individual combiners (Bruticus, Menasor, Superion, Defensor) were all good, and Prime/Megatron's origin story. Some of Galvatron's episodes were great just off the comic relief of his insanity.

I will admit Transformers Prime is the actual GOAT Transformers series

I don't understand why they can't base a trilogy off of Prime series:stopitslime: The way they tied in the Predacons and Predaking giving the Decepticons the :ufdup:The special weapons of Primus. Megatron forming the dark energon sword :whew:Optimus forming his Primus version:whew:Star scream stay betraying and running back:russ:Optimus origin as Orion Pax and Megatron being the gladiator Megatronis first while still being best friends:blessed:Shockwave:birdman:Galvatron was:ld:I'd prefer him being separate but whatever it is cool:ehh:

That show had me :lupe: on a weekly basis. Megatron on Transformers Prime was ruthless the way he murdered Sky-Quake to save Starscream then threatened Starscream like :birdman: don't even think of betraying me again
