All this says to me is... if the victim lives then the cop will be punished. Had the victim died, then the cop will be let go.

Like the sentencing for Michael Dunn. He was basically only sentenced for the children he DIDN'T kill.

It's a wake-up call. They cannot keep doing what they want, without repercussions.
