mase left harlem solo for a little bit after he got his deal and Cam felt a way about it. He wanted mase to Bring him. After Bloodshed died, Mase came back and got cam a deal with biggie. They were still friends, but Mase was still kinda doing his own thing

They were at that moment cool. I think Mase already had apprehensions about Puff a little bit before Biggie was killed. Biggie started his own label because of how Puff jerked him out his publishing. Mase realized about how he was getting jerked out his own publishing and didn't want the same thing to happen to Cam which was why Mase brought Cam to Undeas which was Biggie's label.

That said, I don't think Cam knew the details of what happened in L.A. because he was back in Harlem when it all went down. Then Cam and Mase fell out shortly afterwards. And it was possibly BECAUSE of what happened in LA that led to them falling out since by how Mase said in that clip, his total outlook had changed and it was every man for himself. I think it was the 1st time he ever told Cam what really happened to him.

in the Black Godfather documentary on Netflix Puff said it himself that Clarence Avant was the one who got him out of there after Big was killed.

i believe Puff made the call, Avant got him out of LA right away and flew Puff back east out of San Diego...alone.
