i believe thats true but did Mase give Harlem World his group their publishing?
He put Cardan on the scene but his contract wasnt in Cardan favor. Cardan did write for people so that helped his cause unfortunatley many artists that get jerked do themselves turn around and screw others under their own label imprint.as well. but didnt mase get a large advance and at his height he left the music scene costing big money for Bad Boys over street beef and made money as pastor so i don't think he is innocent himself. One minute he was a pastor then hop on rap with 50cent then back to pastor etc... I like mase and his music still do but I dont think he is competely innocent as well.

not quite as this wont change diddy but yes it will help draw empathy for mase and it gets his name buzzing not mad at him but did he give Harlem World his group.their publishing?he cost bad boy big money leaving the label at his peak over street beef. did he jerk Cardan? i dont have answer to these questions but neither are angels but yeh diddy is shady but why no one go at jimmy iovine of the world and even ice cube, P, and others cash money have issues with artists, diddy does have history im not defending none of them.hope folks learn the business and build their brand first to leverage themselves at the bidding table so not to be desparate to sign for anything.

problem I have and had since 97 was that its cool to own the label and publishing ... whatever you want to say about contracts and shyt
but it really fukked up not only music, but more money being made by blatantly not coming to an agreement on purpose. Selling Mase his publishing back in say 2002-2003
would have made more money because he would have made more music. He would still be probably making music with Puff till this day if he just gave him his ownership back.
Plus you can always work out a distribution deal where he gets his masters back but you still make money off the distribution portion... so many ways to make both sides work
and he just took all the dough and never looked back for 23 years. In turn making Mase promote himself less so Diddy wouldnt profit at all. It was just stupid all the way around.
Even the Gunit thing with 50, he could have cashed out... shyt is wild funny style.

Mase was following a 4x plat album. So going into Double Up. I’m sure Puff thought Mase 2nd Lp would be in the ballpark of his 1st album. That shyt flopped and mase ran off. I can only imagine how much that album debacle set BB back. Not to mention not having Mase had to fukk wit Puff budget from Arista. Puff was by his self. So I stand with Puff on this
