The Burka is not directly related to Islam and nowhere in the teachings does it say a woman has to wear a burqa or anything that hides her face, women are only obligated to dress modestly (men as well) and cover their heads with a hijab which is just a headscarf (and men also should cover their heads as well its not only women )

the Burqa is a cultural garment that emerged in backwards war torn countries and is a new thing It has nothing to do with the religion itself, and there is no justification for it in the religion
