For a mass shooting with suspects that are still out there on the run, the police have been REAL quiet about this. Wonder why?

My family works in admin for this town.

Story is it was a targeted shooting. Group of 3 came in followed by another group. Chased one guy behind the counter and killed him. Employees hiding in the drive through area hit in crossfire.

Word is it was a retaliation shooting for some high ranking gang member being killed friday night. Newark PD knew about it and was expecting the getback but they didnt know when and where.

Cops have the text messages and found the car in woodbridge.

One of the guys in the first group hid in the bathroom and got picked up by the cops after.

Getting taken over by the county sheriffs so we'll probably see arrests in the next few days.

That's my hometown. Can't believe it. Union doesn't have shootings. As a matter of fact, we used to make jokes about the "tough" black kids at school because they were just the cousins of the kids from Newark or Irvington and were actually nice kids.


I always thought of that side closer to Hillside and Newark than Springfield, but I didn't realize it cuts much further through Union before getting to Hillside, so it does seem like its closer to Springfield, so its smack dab in Union

I just stopped going there at lunch time. Rt 22 is already ridiculous to get on. Its like trying to gauge when to jump in a double dutch, lol. But then that line goes around the parking lot, and then out onto the road? I don't even order from there at lunch time cause I think about the uber driver's experience, lol
